In my art-learning journey, there are days I don't feel like sticking to the theme I set for myself. I was on a horse drawing theme a few weeks back. But for some reason I just wanted to draw something else. And so...here's a quick sketch of a lion's head.
More feline cuteness.... cats that seem to be laughing. These are copied from cat photo references,
and it's amazing how cartoon-like their expression looks.
It's easy to anthropomorphize this cat. With those lazy pose and blank stare, I only had to add a dark background and some lighting, then this lounging cat suddenly evokes a feeling of drama as if it's acting. So I entitled this sketch as Drama Cat.
Today's sketch is the fastest land animal in the world - the Cheetah. This cat has an elongated body and legs that's built for speed. Tan in color and has spots all over it's body. It's one of my must-draw member of the cat family.
Another old sketch for a very hectic day - a lioness sleeping.
Here's a loose sketch of some feline animals. As huge and ferocious some of these can be, their behavior can be observed to be very similar to those of a regular house cat. Same can be said in drawing them.
Another busy and hectic day. Didn't get to do any sketch. But, I did a few cat sketches before, so here's one. Meow.
